"What a gem you have here! Our biking was superb. The breakfast was great and lots of
bananas. You definitely know what us cyclists' like. Thanks for a fun and exhausting time."

Nature Enthusiast :: Bicycling
Once again, the Chieftain Inn is centrally located for easy access to mountain biking trails
and road biking. We are located on Rte 10 which is a major bike route, having wide shoulders
and spectacular views. Starting from the Chieftain Inn, you have what is known as the River
Loop, a 21 mile long ride that brings you for a hilly river side ride. Now, if you're
interested in a bit more extreme kind of ride, check out the mountain biking trails. There
are three trails within 10 miles of the Chieftain totaling 38 miles of a mix of maintained
rural roads, with abandoned wagon tracks that have eroded into formidable challenges,
abandoned (sometimes overgrown) roads, gravel roads, and paved roads.
We will drop off and pick up FREE of charge to the trails, as a service to our guests who are
visiting the area to do some cycling.
Bike rentals with all the necessary equipment are available by reservations. Please fill out
the attached form if you are interested in reserving a bike(s). They will be ready and waiting
when you arrive.
