Our location is located conveniently to many modern shops (within walking distance) and old fashioned country stores.

Down town Hanover NH is only 2 miles from us. This bring you to Dartmouth College and main street where you will find stores such as Talbots, Gap, Chocolate Shop etc.

How fun it is to visit old country stores. It throws you back in time, and is also educational for the young ones! When you stay at the Chieftain Inn, we strongly suggest that you visit the oldest General Store in Bath NH (40 miles), www.thebrickstore.com or The Vermont Country Store located in Rockingham, VT (50 miles), www.vermontcountrystore.com. However, my family's favorite to visit is the Quechee Gorge Village. There's something for everyone! Only 30 minutes from the Chieftain. Check it out at www.quecheegorge.com
